The city holds joint place with Liverpool for the most pubs per square mile of any city or major town with its 340 pubs, according to a new survey.

That puts it ahead of London (ranked 13th) Manchester, Nottingham, Newcastle and Bristol.

The data was analysed by Liberty Games, who supply the pub and hospitality industry with pool tables, pinball and arcade machines.
