Bank Of England Finalizes Implementation Of MiFID II

Law360, London (April 28, 2017, 1:13 PM BST) — New European Union financial rules cleared one of the last remaining hurdles before entering U.K. law on Friday as the Bank of England’s watchdog finalized how the rulebook will be implemented by Britain’s financial services sector when it takes force in 2018.

The Prudential Regulation Authority published its final policy on banks’ internal governance and the authorization of new investment activities and financial instruments under the EU’s updated securities and investments rulebook, known as the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II, or MiFID II.
