Middle Office Analyst ( Post-Trade Support) at Nickel Digital Asset Management Limited

LONDON BASDED ROLE- NICKEL DIGITAL WILL PROVIDE UK WORK PERMIT

Nickel Digital is a London-based investment manager. We are a small team of experienced finance professionals trading in the crypto domain, where each team member directly contributes to the success of the company.

The Middle Office team at Nickel provides essential post-trade support to Front Office and is the principal point of contact for our administrator, custodians and other service providers.

Based in our London office (St James’s Street, Piccadilly or Green Park Tube Stations), the Middle Office Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Daily reconciliation of trading accounts across multiple exchanges, custodians and our internal portfolio management system
  • Liaising with 3rd party service providers including the funds’ administrators, auditors, custodians, and lawyers
  • Calculation of daily P&L and sign off with Front Office across multiple funds/strategies
  • Calculating monthly NAVs including monthly reconciliation of fund valuations and positions to ensure the accuracy of our accounting entries against those of the fund administrator
  • Monitoring and processing of derivative expiries
  • Improving existing procedures, including the automation and documentation of processes and controls
  • Liaising with the Portfolio Management System provider and using the system to produce position, exposure and risk reports
  • Bank balance reconciliation
  • Acting upon all formalities around new account opening to completion
  • Providing assistance and support to regulatory reporting functions
  • Active involvement in various project work
  • Any other associated tasks around assisting the COO with operations, fund accounting, compliance and risk functions

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2-3 years buy-side/hedge fund experience essential
  • Strong numeric and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel (competent with Pivot tables and V-Look ups) & Macros/VB
  • Able to demonstrate strong communication skills through building mutually beneficial relationships both internally and externally and the ability to engage openly with people at all levels
  • Demonstrable experience processing, evaluating and resolving reconciliation issues
  • Experience with Arbor portfolio management (or any other) system will be an advantage
  • It is desirable that the ideal candidate would have experience within digital assets
